This is such a great picture of a typical Washington day. GREY, GREY, GREY. Although I don't love clouds, it was perfect weather for our Husky Hustle. It was warm/muggy enough that you could wear short sleeves, but the kids didn't over heat while running. This year, our kids used this event as a fundraiser to help raise money for brand new playground equipment. Cristian's goal was to raise $300, and to beat his "lap record" from last year. (he ran 10 laps around his school last year, and my best guess is that one lap = 1/2 mile)

It was also "twin day" at school, so Cristian and his friend Hayden decided to both wear Mariner shirts and sweat pants.

Lydia, Bailey, Maggie and Saige on twin day :)

Emily and Hailey on twin day

Cristian coming around after lap #7, still hasn't stopped running...

Ava got to participate this year too. Here she is coming around after lap #4 with Lydia and Bailey.

Cristian finished off the race with 14 laps! (he ran approximately 7 miles in one hour!) and Ava finished with 6 laps. Cristian also raised $340 for new playground equipment!! Here is Cristian's class after the Husky Hustle was over! Great job Huskies!

Way to go, Cristian!! He did such a great job running and earning money for new playground equipment...the cute flushed face shows just how hard he was working! The twin day looks like tons of fun too. And it's very sweet how Ava got to hang out with the older girls as they did laps, she must have loved that!
