Arizona Day 4

We took our time Wednesday getting ready and enjoyed a lazy morning. Here are the girls in their matching jammies :) We took the kids to the park before lunch time so they could run, climb, and get out some energy before lunch/nap time. Here's my 3 kids ready to go. Cristian swinging high Emma and Ava going down the slide Emma climbing Carter rocking in the dolphin Ava and Emma swinging Cristian running on the spinning wheel Carter going down the slide So FUN!!! Ava and Ellie swinging The boys going down the big slide Carter playing with the little bark chips Ava climbing Wheeee (this was a really fast slide, which is probably why there are so many black streaks going down the slide... from people trying to "hit the brakes" with their shoes) Back at Nicole's... us adults enjoyed another nap time laying out in the sun. Kyle and me Nicole and me All 5 kids playing in the pool I love this shot... so much action going on! Why not? LOL Ava filling her bucket with water Ellie and Ava playing with the chalk Creating their masterpiece 3-D art Carter pouring water into daddy's hands Carter trying out the chalk too We let the kids watch a movie while we were cooking dinner. Aren't they sweet :) Carter is such a snuggler The 4 boys Wednesday evening it was really windy. The kids didn't even have to blow the bubbles... They just held their sticks up in the air, and the wind did the rest. Look at all those bubbles! Wednesday night Nicole and I went out after the kids were in bed. The guys hung out and watched some war show on the military channel, :) and we walked around target for a bit (mainly to buy a treat for our movie, but we did walk up and down most of the aisles too), and then we saw Bounty Hunter. I thought it was a good movie, definitely one I would recommend seeing.

Arizona Day 3

The three oldest kids ready to head out for a morning hike Pinnacle Peak, the mountain we hiked up. We found several lizards one the walk, a highlight for the kids! View from half way up the mountain, over looking some homes and a golf course. Group shot 1/2 way up the mountain At the top, such a beautiful view!! Me and Nicole A picture looking down the other side Don't worry, it's only a one foot drop... :) the kids looking for more lizards Did you know cacti don't grow those "arms" until they are 100 years old. This cactus must be pretty old because it has 4 arms and they're all really long! The guys headed back down the mountain each carrying 2 kids. Poor Emma fell on the way down and skinned her knee (hence the blood dripping down her leg and the reason she was being carried... poor girl!) Carter wanted out of the back pack because he couldn't drink his water, so Ava wanted a turn to ride in it. Kyle said he wanted to get a good work out in!! :) Another lizard Old Pinnacle Peak town (not sure if it was made just for movies, or if it's just a tourist attraction?) but it sure was cute and old western looking! Shot of the town Back at Nicole's the kids enjoyed a picnic lunch outside, Carter preferred to sit on this bench Enjoying their lunch Carter ready for a quick swim to cool off before nap time Ava and Daddy swimming in the pool Ava and Ellie Ava and Ellie blowing bubbles
Cristian and Ava swimming with Daddy Ava swimming Ellie's way of cooling off Kids lounging eating a frozen gogurt Cristian loved the waterfall that went into the pool Ava with the flowers Emma picked for her
They brought the sand toys into the pool and were making soup Mmmm... chicken noodle soup Getting the ingredients for their soup Yay, all 5 of them in one picture :) And this is what Nicole and I did during nap time on Tuesday!! Laid out by the pool, chatted, and drank an ice cold coke. The 4 youngest kids napped and Cristian got to play the xbox. 4 kids eating a snack and watching a movie while the mommies ... cooked dinner :) Carter playing with toys
