Cousin Katie, Kyle, Austin, and Tricia enjoying some Hawaiian Passion Orange Guava juice Saturday morning at the tailgate. Week 2 of Husky football brought the Hawaii Warriors into town. (although it was so hot it felt like we were in Hawaii). After barely squeaking by Eastern Washington the week before, we weren't sure what to expect this week! But the Dawgs made some huge adjustments and looked much more like the Husky team we're hoping to see on a more regular basis :) Feels good to start the season 2-0.

We had a Hawaiian themed tailgate... all tropical fruits, banana coconut muffins, pulled pork sandwiches. (and there were some staples too, like a veggie tray, deviled eggs, and chips and salsa :)

Me and Carter. My grandma brought this picture of my Grandpa (Carter's great papa, the one he is named after :). They were putting together a slide show for him for his 80th birthday and when they were going through pictures from when he was a little boy, they thought they looked a bit like Carter.

The Huskies wore white pants and, for the first time, these white helmets. I thought they looked really classy!

The white helmets had this patriotic W on them, in honor of the anniversary of the Sept 11th attacks.
That's one tired little Husky! He fell asleep in the middle of the 3rd quarter, and stayed asleep walking back to the car... and all the way home.
