This has just been the most bizarre start to fall for me... we're starting to do all these fun, traditional fall activities (like football, school, the fair, etc) but it feels like summer. It's actually been as hot this week, as our hottest weeks during the summer. Temps in the upper 80's for 7 straight days. None the less, we put our shorts and tank tops on, and headed to the fair for the opening day parade :)

Because admission to the fair was free for the first 2 hours (with a canned food donation), it was packed! We had lunch, stood in line to get some of those famous scones, let the kids do just one ride, then left.)

Playing with bubbles while we waited in line for scones.

Carter and Cami riding the Merry go round together.

Ava too riding a horse that was built in 1919. Pretty cool!
We'll definitely go back to the fair soon!! On a day that's hopefully cooler, and less crowded :)

I miss the fair! I prefer to go when it's overcast and cool! :)
There's a big fair near my parents house each september and it is always sooooo unbearably hot, just like what you are describing...this year we caught a break though, fall seems to be rolling right on in here. All the pics of your fair look like tons of fun. I love the photo of Ava on the carousel horse!
