We had Carter's birthday party at the fair this year. We lucked out with the weather... it was overcast, but muggy and a very pleasant temperature. We met everyone at the main gate and then went straight to Sillyville (aka, kid land :). The kids enjoyed playing this homemade musical instrument set while we set up the lunch area.

He was very excited when he saw what I unwrapped in this bag...
a HUSKY shirt... his response was "OHHH, HUSKIES!!"
And then it was nap time, so we all left. (but not before I snapped a picture of Carter and his Nannie, who next to me, is his favorite person in the world!) It was a fun way to do a birthday party!! The kids really had a lot of fun.
Here's Carter right after he woke up the morning of his birthday! He was pretty excited to open his presents! This is really the first time he's been into opening them...last Christmas he was still pretty young and was more interested in playing with the paper then seeing what was inside the gifts.
At 8:24am, he turned exactly 2 years old :)
