The last week of June both of my older kids started their summer baseball leagues. Cristian is absolutely THRILLED to be old enough to be playing in a league where there finally keep score, there is an umpire who calls balls and strikes, and there are outs. C is playing baseball twice a week (sometimes 3 times, depending on the week). This will be Cristian's last year playing on a co-ed, coach pitch team. Next year he'll be old enough for Little League!! Here he is with teammates, Jaynie and Bailey.

All smiles after his first hit. (although he was a bit bummed because he could have gotten a double, but there person in base in front of him stopped at 2nd) :)
Ava also started baseball and has been to several practices already. She is also quite the little slugger... in fact her coach was very bummed when he heard she was going to miss their first game! He said "We can't play without our best hitter" :)
Ready for another fun day at practice! She is looking forward to her first (well, second) game this weekend!
