Our family tradition has always been that the kids get to unwrap ONE early present on Christmas Eve.

opening...

Ava got a tea pot (gumball machine) holder for all the Squinkies that Nannie Clause gave her.

Cristian got more army guys and small star wars lego set.

Carter got the rest of his blocks and the bucket they go in

Carter enjoyed having Cristian build him a tower so he could knock it down

We also put together this cute foam Nativity set that Aunt Denise gave the kids. The kids and I discussed the birth of baby Jesus while we constructed it!

The finished product

I also found some Husky Holiday window clings, how appropriate for this year since the Dawgs are going to the Holiday bowl :)

They all enjoyed putting them up on our window.

We also hosted Christmas Eve dinner at our house. My parents and sister and all of us enjoyed a very yummy roast, red potatoes, veggie stir fry, and salad, and Christmas cookies for dessert!

After the kids were all snug in their beds and sound asleep, Grampie Claus and Auntie the Elf helped assemble some of the Santa toys that were left out :) They saved us HOURS of time awake Christmas Eve night!! Thank you, both!!

Fun Christmas preparations! I love that little teapot squinky thing :-)
BTW ~ on Christmas morning when my girls opened the squinkies, I had no idea they would already know what they were. They were soooo excited.
Carter is starting to look so much like one of the big kids and not the baby anymore. Happens fast, eh? Looks like alot of fun!
