Veteran's Day Assembly

On Wednesday, Cristian's school had a Veteran's Day Assembly, and the students were able to invite any Veteran or current active military member in their family to the assembly so that they could be honored. Cristian's 2nd grade class sang the Army song during the assembly, which he was excited about since that is the branch of the military my dad was in. After the assembly, my dad was able to go to Cristian's classroom and have a question and answer session with all of the kids. They were very interested to learn about his experience in the Army. I'm so glad our children are learning to appreciate the freedom that they enjoy, and coming to understand that it was bought at a price. We are so blessed to live in this country! And a special thank you to all the people in my family who have served, or are still serving our country... My dad, Uncle Don, and cousins Andy and Jason.

What an awesome thing they got to do at school to honor the Veterans! And it's so special that your dad got to be a part of it and visit Cristian's class.

And can I say what a cute new header photo you have?!

How cute! Cristian looks so proud to have your dad there. What a great idea! By the way, your parents aren't aging. Are they aware of this? What's going on? =)
