Memorial Day Weekend ~ Monday

Monday we had a BBQ at my parents house with family since Emily, J, and their kids were in town visiting from Oklahoma. Here are the kids dressed in their red white and blue :) Cami, Joeli, Tori, Ava, Cristian, and Carter.

Memorial Day Weekend ~ Sunday

My parents got back into town on Sunday after being in Reno for 5 days. We had them over for a dinner that evening since they landed right around dinner time and the kids hadn't seen them in almost a week. These are the yummy treats I made in honor of our Memorial Day celebration BBQ. I also got out all my Red, White, and Blue decorations... my house now looks very festive and patriotic. The kids ended up going home with my parents and spending the night at their house, so Kyle and I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 4 with my Aunt and Uncle.

Memorial Day Weekend ~ Saturday

Saturday we had enjoyed having no plans for once, and we had a very relaxing day! We decided to take advantage of the pleasant morning (and by that I mean it wasn't raining!) and we walked into down town and went out to breakfast.

Kindergarten Round Up

The day after her preschool graduation, Ava had Kindergarten round up at our elementary school. She wanted to wear a back pack, and in it she packed a couple of books, Minnie Mouse, and and a camera. On the walk from the car into the school, Cristian was telling Ava all about the round up, and what to expect.
I think Ava was a little nervous, but Cristian assured her that she would have fun and get to play games.
And here she is after her assessment, all smiles! She had so much fun, she was hoping that she could start Kindergarten that very next day. She got to meet her teacher, principal, and the school nurse, and we went over the medical plan for her allergies.

Hard to believe this chapter in her life is over! But she's definitely ready and excited for what's next!
Congrats Ava! She got some kindergarten work books and reading books to work on this summer, and a little toy :)
